Gábor Lencse is a a senior research fellow at the Department of Networked Systems and Services, Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He is also a full professor at the Department of Telecommunication, Széchenyi István University, Győr, Hungary. He graduated in Computer Science at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where he acquired his Ph.D. degree in the same field in 2001. He gained his habilitation in Computer Science at the Széchenyi István University in 2013.
He has been a member of the public body of Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Committee of Telecommunication Systems since 2011. He has been a fellow in the Editorial Board of the Acta Technica Jaurinensis journal since 2018 as an Editor.
He has performed peer review for various journals including IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, IEEE Access and Telecommunications Systems (Springer).
His research area includes the performance and security analysis of IPv6 transition technologies. He was a NICT guest researcher in Japan twice (Nara Institute of Science and Technology for 6 months in 2017 and IIJ Innovation Institute for 3 months in 2019). He is active in the IPv6 Operations (v6ops) and Benchmarking (bmwg) working groups of IETF.
