Gábor Dogossy is a full professor at the Department of Vehicle Manufacturing and Engineering, Széchenyi István University, Győr, Hungary. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where he obtained his Ph.D. in 2007. He acquired his habilitation in Transportation and Vehicle Engineering at Széchenyi István University in 2018.

He has been a member of the Committee of Fiber- and Composite Technology, Hungarian Academy of Sciences  since 2011, and has had Secretary from 2015 to 2020. He has been a fellow on the Editorial Board of the Acta Technica Jaurinensis journal since 2013, served as an Editor from 2017 to 2019, and as Editor-in-Chief from 2020 to 2026. During his tenure, the journal was added to the Scopus database in 2025.

He has been a funding member of the Sustainable Mobility and Transportation Symposium Editorial Board. His refereeing activity is conducted for several journals at MDPI, Elsevier, and Springer, as well as for conferences.

His research activity is oriented toward the development of biopolymers and composites, the recycling of thermoplastics, and, in addition, injection molding and simulation.
