Miklós Kuczmann is a full professor at Department of Automation, Széchenyi István University, Győr, Hungary. He graduated in Electrical Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005. He acquired his habilitation in Computer Sciences at Széchenyi István University in 2011. He gained his D.Sc. degree in Computer Sciences at Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2015.

He has been a member of the Committee of Electrotechnics, Hungarian Academy of Sciences  since 2011, and has had Secretary from 2015 to 2020, and has become President since 2021. He has been an associate in the Editorial Board of the Acta Technica Jaurinensis journal since its foundation and had worked as an Editor-in-Chief from 2013 to 2019.

He has been a fellow in the Editorial Board of the Pollack Periodica journal also. He had been a member of several conference’s Editorial Board, Local Organising Committee or International Scientific Committee, like The 12th Biennial IEEE Conference on Electromagnetic Field Computation (CEFC) conference, the COMPUMAG conferences, The 5th Hysteresis and Micromagnetic Modeling (HMM) 2005 conference or the Symposium on Applied Electromagnetics (SAEM) conference.

His research activity is concerned with numerical methods in electromagnetic field computation, the finite element method, nonlinearity in electromagnetic field simulation and electric motor simulation, furthermore control theory.
