Abstract

Traffic logistic systems have a structure often globally networked onseveral hierarchical levels. Their function is transporting materials and/orinformation within an area. From the cybernetic view the organization canbe regarded both as the control of complex systems and as acommunication process the nature of which is the transmission ofinformation. Due to the spatially distributed structure of stationary andmobile traffic systems, multi-agent systems can be used for theirorganization. The organization algorithms are performed using the Petrinet-based language BRIC. For this purpose target functions for theindividual service systems are derived from the process reliability andfurther partial reliabilities are derived from it for modelling both thearriving and operating processes and the failure and repairing processes.
