Impacts of Road Transport Pricing Reform on Supply Chains

Abstract

Transport pricing reform has effective impacts on providing transportationservices. In this article we are examining the impacts on forwardingservices in supply chains. Elements of the needed reform process are wellknown among scientists and researchers, but there is a permanentunderreporting of results to shippers and politicians, thus the realisation ofreform steps are facing serious barriers. Economic and environmentalaspects always emphasise the importance of improving the existing pricingregimes towards a fair and efficient solution. Recognition of existingevidence always reveals dependencies between instruments and theirimpacts moreover support for the evaluation steps of the reform processand results gain a higher acceptance of reform among stakeholders.
