Abstract

“Agility means using market knowledge and a virtual corporation to exploitprofitable opportunities in a volatile marketplace.” Agility is a businesswidecapability that embraces organizational structures, informationsystems, logistics processes, and, in particular, mindsets. In today’s morechallenging business environment, where volatility and unpredictabledemand have become the norm, it is essential that the importance of agilitybe recognized.
