Abstract

Nowadays we should consider waste in a much wider sense as an expedientraw material source. From a logistics point of view the fact that the flow ofthe secondary raw materials are not constant in waste logistics systems is achallenge. The quantity of the wastes of production, consumption andrecycling are varying in time and space. The arising municipal wastesusually can be found in smaller items than previously, having relativelymore utilization opportunity when they appear separated at the refusedumps. Optimal cargos should be organized by the environmental aspect ofroad transport services. Recently road transport is one of the mainpolluters. With the internalisation of external costs of road transportationthe price of waste as a basis of secondary raw materials will increase. Thearticle describes these problems and the methods of which can be used forthe solution.
