Logistics Focused Cluster Analysis of Hungarian SMEs

In this article we present the results of a cluster analysis of SMEs which was a part of a research focused on the development of logistics function along the company lifecycle. The clustering was based on logistics characteristics and stage of company growth that give the internal and external environment for logistics function. We identified four different types of companies: „Not logistics-intensive”, „Improved”, „Efficient” and „Inefficient”, and summarized their management and logistics characteristics. We also assessed the focus and most important tasks of logistics strategy in each group.Downloads
